Futures Options Feedback: Listener questions and comments

  • Comment from Ian Felder: I started in crude futures. Then moved to VIX futures, and am now in VOX options. Each time I trade a new market I feel like U see more panoramic moves because I'm less familiar with the underlying in the first few days. It sounds scary but it's actually refreshing. I guess looking at options has changed the way I look at futures. Has something similar happened to you? Have options changed your outlook on other products?

Futures Options Feedback: Listener questions and comments

  • Question from JJVay83 - I have a got a rookie question alert. Do the same Greeks apply to equity options and futures options? Are all Greeks the same?
  • Question from Eric Schaeffer - I traditionally trade LEAPs on indices and individual names like Apple. Your shows including TWIFO and LSFO have intrigues me to dip my toes into the commodities markets. I have played around with the TWIO report on CME. Thank you very much for all that free data. I am exploring longer term options on a variety of products, but I am having difficulty finding the right duration. I know there are weekly futures options, but do they also have the equivalent of LEAPs? If so, how far out do they trade, and what are they called? Is there a tab for them on the TWIO report?

Futures Options Feedback: Listener questions and comments

  • Question from Liz Kat - Hey guys, thanks for my weekly dose of TWIFO. I saw this headline and while not strictly about options, I hoped you could give us your take on it. Seems like an interesting idea. Do we need it?
  • Question from Sebastian - How do I tell what the actual volume of a product is? How do I use that volume stat in my trading

Futures Options Feedback: Listener questions and comments

  • Comment from Chris: This is strong hedging and perhaps a bullish indicator for WTI in my opinion.
  • Question from DLK79: In TWIFO 17 you discussed the soybean skew coming back from the recent extremes, and a trade that was put on 10-12 weeks ago to attempt a profit from this. Was this strategy discussed in a previous episode when it was first put on? If so, do you know which episode specifically? I am going through some of the earlier episodes and I have yet to find it.
  • Question from Neal: What is up with silver?
